Connect at Providence

Unity in the
Body of Christ

4 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all....

25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.  (Ephesians 4:1-5, 25)

In the midst of our busy lives, fellowship with fellow believers helps to give us purposeful and planned community & connection. Through connection with the local church, we are able to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, to bear one another’s burdens, and to develop deeper, meaningful relationships.

It is through serving the body of Jesus that meaningful relationships are formed, needs are met, and heartfelt joy and satisfaction are found.  Simply put, serving side-by-side with fellow believers is how meaningful community is cultivated.

We believe that this mission can be faithfully carried out by giving ourselves, corporately and individually, to these four practices in our lives: delight, declare, disciple, depend.

Our mission at Providence Community Church is to proclaim Christ as a caring community of God-exalting disciple makers. This is the purpose and passion that binds us together in the midst of our diversity and differences.
